Wedding Music Tips

Preservice Music

CHECK WITH THE VENUE
Certain venues, especially churches, may have restrictions on the type of music or musicians allowed to perform. Be sure to check with your venue about their rules. We include 30 minutes of preservice music with all of our weddings.

Processional Music

LESS IS MORE
It only takes 10-30 seconds for each person to walk down the aisle. Using different music for every group will make the service choppy. We recommend no more than 3 pieces: one for grandparents & parents, one for the bridal party, and one for the Bride. Just remember to wait for the music to change before each group starts down the aisle.

Unity Candle/Unity Sand

A LITTLE DASH WILL DO
Unity candle or unity sand are meaningful moments in a ceremony, but they go faster than you would think. You will only need a minute or so of music to cover this. The chorus of your favorite song is often just the perfect length.

Recessional Music

THE WHOLE SHEBANG
It’s time to party! This song should always be upbeat and joyful. You need enough music to get all the bridal party plus parents down the aisle. This song needs to be around 2-3 minutes long depending on the size of your wedding party.
